Briefly- Weekend plans, nature, etc.

Ah, the start of the weekend. I usually boulder alone on Fridays because of my 1/2 work days on Fridays. This is a blessing and a curse. Being in nature alone can be very peaceful or a little scary (I should have never read about mountain lion attacks- they can pounce from 20 feet, always attacking from behind).

Big Horn Sheep I saw today. Perfect prey.

So I went to Maverick Boulders today. This is a developing area is Clear Creek. I hope to put up some FAs there later this spring/ summer It's 3.6 miles past the stoplight for anyone interested. The rock is typical clear creek- pretty nice, but a little sharp in places.

The wind screamed down the canyon, and the mountain lions were probably hungry, so I didn't climb much. I'll be back. Other plans for the weekend include finally leading Raccoon Soup -without falling and breaking a cam. I think I got the pro. beta, and the climbing beta figured out.
This is what wind looks like. Note the angle of the steering wheel
